Hands On Big Five

Plunge into a hands-on Conservation Management Project in one of South Africa's most scenic “Big 5” game reserves. Your work will include habitat rehabilitation; elephant impact monitoring, game counts, telemetry tracking of lions and much more. Management activities could include: game counts, soil erosion control, reserve clean-up operations, road maintenance, habitat rehabilitation, alien vegetation control and parasite control for animals. There are also several Research projects being undertaken at any given time.

One Month Game Ranger Course

Have you always wanted to be a Game Ranger in Africa? This program allows people with limited time to experience the life of a Game Ranger in Kruger National Park. The lectures are fun and informative and the majority of the program takes place in the bush. You will learn basic tracking skills, survival, and how to counter poaching of the wild life. The participant will be involved in maintaining the road systems, anti poaching patrols, animal movement monitoring, assisting with sustainable tourism projects as well as short courses in game ranging.

Wild Coast Conservation

Help reduce mans impact on nature.  The goals of this project are not only to conserve, but ultimately to redress the imbalances of our natural resources due to human impact.  The project is a collective effort between several landowners and covers approximately 14,000 hectares ranging from big game country to active farms and rural areas.  Project highlights include practical experience in conservation as well as working at the Raptor & Wildlife Rehabilitation Center doing large mammal research
