What you Get
- Comprehensive Fundraising Guide which will give you resources and tools to apply for grants, scholarships and raise funds to offset your program fee.
- Arrival transportation from airport to Host Family or Volunteer House (in most cases)
- Orientation and training prior to starting your project (will also cover aspects such as culture, food, transportation, money, safety, etc.)
- We will appoint a supervisor for you for the duration of your program and arrange all paperwork, placement details as well as act as your liaison with the Volunteer Program for your time in Asia.
- Donation per month to the Volunteer Project, to assist in their funding.
- Toll-free telephone number to GVN office during office hours, assistance and support by GVN Staff and Counselors in your area.
- A Certificate & Report on your Volunteer Program should this be required for studies or other purposes
- International travel insurance will be provided for an additional fee and will include baggage, health, liability, medical evacuation, repatriation, etc.
- Accommodation in one of the following:
- A (paid) Host Family in the community where your Program operates. Accommodation is included for the duration of the Program, including most meals (please refer to specific program guides for details about your project). Please note that this accommodation can be basic and the Volunteer is expected to eat as their Host Family does. If you have special dietary needs, please let us know and we will do anything we can to accommodate you. Please note that you may also need to purchase additional food or snacks as well.
- A Volunteer House where you will stay with a group of volunteers. In some cases a chef will prepare your meals, or you will prepare your own, or only 2 meals will be provided and you will be responsible for the other (please refer to the program guide for details about your project).
