For US, Canadian and Czech Republic citizens, the Work Adventure Down Under program can be done during your summer vacation.  However, this program uses a 12-month visa that may only be available once in a lifetime - so you'll really want to go for longer if you can.

The Work Adventure Down Under is not a placement program.  All participants are issued a Working Holiday Visa, which allows casual employment.  99% of our participants look for work when they arrive down under.  CCUSA provide comprehensive advice on the types of jobs to look for and how to find them before you leave home. CCUSA’s partner Work & Travel Company will help you find work throughout your time down under when you get to Australia / New Zealand if you are on an “Ultimate” package.

You can expect to earn about $400-$500 (in local currency) per week for working a typical 40-hour week.  Be sure to bring sufficient funds with you to hold you over until your first paycheck.  Remember that food and accommodation will run you about $200 to $250 per week depending on the type and location.  With good budgeting and planning, you will do just fine Down Under.
