CCUSA is currently looking for employers to host trainees.    Speak to us about how we can find qualified staff for you this year.

GENERAL OVERVIEW

Qualified participants may intern or train between 12 and 18 months, anywhere in the United States, on a CCUSA-approved internship or training program in the categories of Management, Finance, Commerce or Business.  Typically we work with Management or Business Internship or Training Plans in many different industries (Camp Management, Hotel Management, Architecture/Project Management, Marketing Management, etc.).  However, we can also sponsor participants in internship or training plans in the areas of finance, commerce, and business as well.   The intern or trainee visa is not a long-term work visa but rather allows a company to train a participant in a field related to either their degree course or a present field of employment.

There are no fixed starting dates for the program and the intern or trainee position can start at any time of the year. The maximum length for the internship program is 12 months and for the training program it is 18 months but it is also acceptable for a position to be shorter (3 to 6 months).

BENEFITS OF HOSTING An intern or TRAINEE

  • Interns and Trainees offer valuable academic and professional experience while sharing business practices from their home countries.
  • International interns and trainees are a cost effective way of bringing cultural diversity to your work environment and promoting global understanding.
  • This unique opportunity attracts highly skilled, motivated intern or trainee candidates who are focused and committed to their training experience.
  • If your company has a global network of locations, your intern or trainee can use their U.S. based training to work in an affiliate office upon their return home.

SERVICES TO MEET YOUR COMPANY'S NEEDS

Placement Program

CCUSA will create a customized posting of your company's internship or training opportunity to recruit candidates for you to assess.

  • Step One:  To register for this opportunity, fill out a PTUSA/INTERN USA Employer Placement Profile and submit this profile along with your one-page curriculum outline for review.
  • Step Two:  Your company will be contacted within 2 weeks for an informational session to answer questions you have regarding the placement process.  You will also submit a copy of your business license and Workmen’s Compensation Policy (page showing coverage amounts) to CCUSA. If you are a company that CCUSA has not worked with before and you have less than 25 employees and less than 3 million dollars in annual revenue, CCUSA will have to schedule a site visit.  Price for this is dependent on a variety of factors (where the host company is located, if we have representatives in your area to do a site visit, etc.) so please contact CCUSA for Site Visit Fees.
  • Step Three:  CCUSA will consult with your company on the training curriculum requirements. Your company will be required to submit a full curriculum defining the objectives, goals, list of supervisors for each phase, cultural activities the participant will be participating in, knowledge/skills/techniques the intern or trainee will learn, how they will be taught, and how the acquisition of skills will be measured.
  • Step Four:  Once your training curriculum is approved, CCUSA will begin the recruiting and matching process with qualified candidates. The placement process can take up to 2 to 3 months to insure the best possible match.
  • Step Five:  Your company will have the opportunity to interview and give final approval for your intern or trainee.

Independent Option

  • Step One: Host Companies are responsible for finding a prospective intern or trainee and offering an internship or training program in one of the approved categories.
  • Step Two: Fill out a PTUSA/INTERN USA Independent Employer Application and submit this profile along with your one-page curriculum outline for review.
  • Step Three: Your company will be contacted within 2 weeks for an informational session to answer questions you have regarding the program. If you are an approved host company, you will submit a copy of your business license and Workmen’s Compensation Policy (page showing coverage amounts) to CCUSA. At the same time, the prospective intern or trainee must apply to a CCUSA office in their home country.
