PROGRAMS - ARGENTINA

Business & Marketing

You’ll have the opportunity to intern within an organization that works alongside and represents many Argentinian companies. These companies, which tend to be small to medium sized, partner with the organization for marketing purposes, research to explore exporting opportunities.  The organization acts as a supportive resource for these companies that might not have all the tools necessary to do international research and marketing themselves.  There are also other opportunities to intern in consulting firms, marketing companies, retail, and startups. Intermediate Spanish is necessary.

  • Minimum: 4 weeks
  • Location:  Buenos Aires, Argentina
  • Lodging/Meals: Homestay, Shared Apartment, or Student Residence.  Meals are not included, but can be for an additional fee with a homestay family.

Graphic Design

Interns can work in one of several graphic design companies in Buenos Aires. You should have some graphic design/web design experience and have an intermediate to advanced Spanish level. As a design intern you may help with marketing pamphlets, logos, websites, and other creative projects.  The graphic design companies work with small companies to large name brand ones partnering with them to help their marketing campaigns or their social media presence.

Human Rights

In this internship, you’ll work with NGOs who aim to develop and cultivate programs promoting democracy and democratic ideologies.  They hope to directly involve Argentinians in this process and focus on the importance of human rights and political issues. Interns may help with planning events, developing programs, as well as program coordination. You’ll need to have an intermediate to advanced level of Spanish.

Journalism/Communications

Are you a budding journalist looking for valuable experience? If you have an advanced level of Spanish then this program is perfect for you. Journalism opportunities are often available at local magazine publishers, newspapers and other publications in Buenos Aires.  Interns help create content, do research, social media projects, work at events, and draft stories. There are also opportunities in Communications to work in private businesses as well as non-profits.  For both disciplines, you should be comfortable coming up with new ideas and be self motivated.

  • Minimum:  12 weeks for Journalism (more flexible with Communications)

Law

If you’re a law student with advanced or nearly fluent Spanish, then you’ll have the unique opportunity to intern in one of several law firms in Buenos Aires. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of Argentinean law through research projects, translating documents/other materials and getting documents ready for the attorneys.  The law firms focus on different areas including litigation, business consulting, corporate law, intellectual property law, environmental law, dispute resolution, commercial law and international tax law.

Fashion

This small modeling company in Buenos Aires gives you the opportunity to intern in the fashion industry. You may be asked to contribute to the company’s marketing department, PR and art and design.  There are also elements of online sales and assisting with photo shoots/video productions.
