PROJECTS - ANIMAL & WILDLIFE

Animal Rescue – SOUTH AFRICA

Working in the Philippi farming area. This amazing project helps to rescue and rehabilitate stray animals and pets, mostly dogs and cats. Neglected and abandoned animals are rescued and cared for. This pro-life, non-profit center sterilizes strays and works on finding new homes for them. Due to the tough economic environment, these animals are often neglected and suffer from starvation or sickness.

  • Minimum: 2 weeks
  • Location:  Philippi Farming Area, South Africa
  • Lodging/Meals: Host Family; 2 Meals per day included (Breakfast & Dinner)

Animal Shelter & Rescue - TANZANIA

Volunteers can assist with the animal welfare campaign, work in the animal shelter or do both. This fabulous program helps to provide care and support to animals as well as education and awareness programs. The shelter cares for puppies, dogs and cats. Work to increase awareness and educate people on animal rights.

  • Location:  Arusha, Tanzania
  • Lodging/Meals: Guest House (Hostel); 2 Meals per day included

Wildlife Preservation – SOUTH AFRICA

Volunteers have the opportunity to work to save the lives of the endangered animals of South Africa. This amazing project is located on 6,000 hectares of land filled with wild life including the big five game animals; the lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant and Cape buffalo. Work includes maintaining the reserve, researching the animals and how to protect them, as well as projects needed on a day to day basis to protect the animals. Volunteers need to be willing to work outside in unpleasant weather conditions.

  • Lodging/Meals: Guest House; 2 Meals per day included Monday through Friday (Breakfast & Dinner)
