PROJECTS - ANIMAL & WILDLIFE

Sea Turtle Rehabilitation & Protection - AUSTRALIA

Sea Turtles just off the coast of Cairns on Fitzroy Island are often injured by boats or sick with disease. This program serves to care for these amazing animals to help them recuperate and regain strength. Not only do the turtles need to be fed and their tanks cleaned, but they need help scrubbing the algae off their backs! When they are well enough you’ll have the rewarding task of releasing them back into their environment.

Wildlife Shelter & Rescue - AUSTRALIA

All too often humans can encroach upon wild animals’ natural habitat. The wildlife center in Stanley State Forest is committed to caring for wild animals that are wounded or unwell, so they can hopefully return to the wild.  This project will keep you busy especially since it receives no government funding, but your hands-on assistance will go a long way to improving animal welfare in this region.
